The Corporate Counsel will play an integral role in the Legal Department’s support of Strategic Transactions, T-Mobile Advertising Solutions, and Business Communications business teams. The role will analyze the review existing agreements, negotiate and draft new agreements, and work collaboratively with their business clients to analyze and support new initiatives. A successful candidate will be ready to jump into action, working closely with legal and business partners to provide practical, solution-oriented legal advice to build and implement creative solutions. Flexibility will be a key aspect of this role, as projects may support new business models and diverse areas of both the business and the law. Ad Tech experience is beneficial but not required.
What you’ll do in your role.
Engage and work with outside counsels
Work with internal clients to structure, prepare, discuss, determine, and finalize agreements and letters of intent
Act as a specialist and be a key resource for driving the overall legal framework including putting in place various policies, training internal clients on legal issues and otherwise on an as needed basis
Counsel and guide business clients on a wide variety of sophisticated and developing issues
Support senior attorneys on project work conducting research and analysis
The experience you’ll bring.
Minimum 2 years, prefer 5+ years as a business attorney, with relevant in-house and/or top law firm transitional experience
JD from an accredited university with outstanding academic credentials
Able to lead projects and other initiatives with little supervision
Experience with researching sophisticated legal matters
Ability to mentor and lead others informally in areas of expertise
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Known to collaborate with other legal and business professionals in a sophisticated organization with a focus on delivering results efficiently
Strong analytical, mediating decisions, and drafting skills
Keen business sense with excellent judgment and decision-making skills
Ability to operate independently and effectively in a dynamic environment
Work with a variety of personalities across the business organization
Strong prioritization skills, execution, and results orientation with a passion for success
Work efficiently, meet goals, and balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
