The Enterprise Applications Engineer is a new role, created within the Firm’s Cloud and Application Services Team to provide dedicated, hands-on skills centered around deploying, managing and supporting the Firm’s software and devices, as part of a broader technology transformation effort.
Reporting to the Cloud and Systems Team Lead, this is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate technologist to take on a key role that transforms the delivery of applications and devices and our team’s experience of using technology.
Working closely with IT Leadership, you will be involved in the day-to-day support and delivery of our application and device ecosystem and involvement in project delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Developing, maintaining and supporting Windows 10/11 software images
• Packaging and deployment of software applications and configurations, across Windows 10/11 environments, as well as IOS and Android
• Working closely with the IT Business Adoption Specialist to ensure application and device deployments meet the needs of the Firm, with a focus on providing a high level of adoption
• Conducting and managing UAT and QC processes as part of the technology delivery cycle
• Close liaison with the Infrastructure and Cyber Security team to ensure Azure Virtual Desktop remote access technologies are maintained with the same applications, services and experience as within the desktop environment
• Liaise with application and device vendors in both a support and project delivery capacity
• Documenting procedures for the Customer Support team
• Drive knowledge and best practice sharing to the Support Services team as part of project delivery and change management activities
• Act as an escalation point for application and device Incident and Problem tickets

Requirements

• Strong experience with Microsoft Operating System Deployment, along with Microsoft’s servicing model for Windows 10/11
• Strong experience of using Enterprise Management and Mobile Device Management platforms, particularly Intune, Configuration Manager and Autopilot
• Strong experience in application packaging
• Excellent understanding and experience of Group Policy and Active Directory
• Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office productivity suite, deployment and configuration, including the use of add-ins and other deeply integrated applications
• Experience with scripting technologies
• Strong knowledge of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, particularly technologies within the Modern Workplace cloud, such as Microsoft Teams and Power Automate
• Knowledge of Document Management platforms, ideally iManage
• Experience within the Legal Sector desirable
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate or equivalent certifications desirable
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to professionally interact with individuals at all levels of the organization and with consultants and vendors

Working Conditions

• Professional office work environment.  Sitting and standing for long periods of time.  Phone and PC/Laptop usage and operating general office equipment.  Bending, kneeling, stretching and may require occasionally lifting and carrying supplies or equipment up to 40 lbs.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the role.
