The Nebraska Commission on Public Advocacy looking for qualified applicants to fill an opening for a  staff attorney. This position involves trying murder and other serious violent felony offenses throughout  the state and handling such cases on direct appeal. Qualified applicants must: 1) Be admitted to practice  in Nebraska; 2) Be experienced and active in criminal defense with no less than three years experience  in the litigation of criminal defense cases (consideration will be given to outstanding applicants with prosecution or civil litigation experience); 3) Have experience as lead or co-counsel in several felony jury trials in serious and/or complex cases tried to completion; and be dedicated to indigent defense.
