Immigration Attorney 

We are a nonprofit immigration law firm located in Salt Lake City, Utah that is seeking a seasoned attorney with a passion to help those less fortunate to join our firm. Ideally, this person must have at least 3 years’ experience in Immigration Law or commiserate experience in the field. We specialize in removal defense, SIJ’s asylum, VAWA’s, U-Visa’s, and family petitions. 

Immigrant Legal Services presents a cooperative atmosphere with dedication to serving immigrant communities in Utah and, occasionally, other states. It was founded in 2016 with the goal of providing high-quality representation in even the most complex cases at reduced legal fees. 

Requirements 

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school  
• Licensed and in good standing to practice law in any U.S. state or territory 
• Fluent in English and Spanish in written and spoken forms 
• Able to mentor new attorneys and interns 
• Thrives in a busy, high-stakes environment 
• Professional and personable 
• Strong writing skills 
• Able to handle a heavy case load 
• Works well with others 
• Manage financial commitment to firm 
• Ability to keep up to date records on all clients 
• Familiarity with IOLTAs or lawyer trust accounts 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products  
• Excellent client interviewing skills 

Responsibilities 

• Individual client intakes and representation 
• Maintain client relationships 
• Prepare legal reports, track statistics and documents  

Additional Salary & Benefits Information: Salary depends on experience, but the range is between $60,000-80,000. Health care and retirement plans are available. We also cover bar dues. We offer a flexible workplace that closes its offices on Fridays, so people get a 3-day weekend every weekend.
