The New York office of Baker Hostetler has a great opportunity for an Attorney Recruiting Coordinator. This is an ideal position for someone who is looking for career development and advancement opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with and provide support to the Senior Recruiting Manager (“SRM”) to execute all New York office attorney hiring goals
Implement and execute all aspects of the summer associate program (including, but not limited to summer associate onboarding, monitoring work assignment system, creating mentor assignments, planning and attending social events, managing mid and end of summer review process)
Build and maintain relationships with key contacts at law schools where the office conducts On-Campus Interviews (“OCI”); register for OCI and resume collections, schedule interviews, track and manage law school candidates from inception through end of process, manage and track evaluations and process NALP shared recruiting expenses
Interact with students and lateral attorney candidates
Coordinate hiring committee meetings and prepare supporting materials
Coordinate and plan law school recruiting and outreach events, correspond with student affinity groups and related sponsorship requests
Support Office of Inclusion & Diversity efforts
Coordinate event logistics such as vendor contracts, budgets, menus, room set-up, etc., provide event management support as needed
Maintain and update applicant database, create candidate files, send status updates, complete audits and send appropriate candidate correspondence
Provide general administrative support including reconciliation of expenses, organization of calendars, contacts, meetings, travel arrangements, act as “gatekeeper” by monitoring emails and calendars and communicating interdepartmentally, demonstrate leadership to maintain credibility, confidentiality, trust and support with management and staff
Assist co-leaders of NY Associate Mentor Program with program initiatives
Assist with selection and purchase of BakerHostetler branded “swag” items
Participate in recruiting Department meetings and assist the SRM and/or Firmwide Recruiting team with additional projects or tasks as needed
Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of related experience
Law firm recruiting or professional service recruiting experience preferred
Able to maintain a high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail required
Ability to react with appropriate levels of urgency to situations and events
Make appropriate, informed decisions regarding priorities and available time
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to develop and maintain relationships at all levels
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
