Patent Attorney Trainee (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science)
YOUR TASKS
Working with Partners and attorneys on a variety of intellectual property projects for national and international clients
Providing advice to our clients on the protection of their inventions and knowledge and actively help them managing and developing their patent portfolio
Thoroughly analyzing technical documents, such as published patent specifications and inventor reports on new inventions
Summarizing critical analysis of technical documents and formulating arguments for responding to objections to patentability raised by a Patent Office or a third party or for attacking the patentability of a third party’s protective right
Attending oral proceedings at the German or European Patent Office
YOUR PROFILE
Completed university degree in mechanical or electrical egineering, physics or computer science; practical (professional) experience in the field of technology going beyond the requirements is a plus
Enthusiasm for and a quick grasp of complex technical issues along with excellent analytical skills
Enjoying “working with paper” and dealing with patent law issues
Very good command of English on a native speaker level
Strong verbal and communication skills
Open-minded to other cultures, cross-cultural competence
