Position Summary: Primarily responsible for coordinating legal talent efforts. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Position Responsibilities:
Recruiting
Assist Director of Attorney Recruiting & Development with the coordination of interview processes (including lining up interviewers, scheduling office interviews and escorting recruits)
Assist in Hiring Committee meeting organization and provide support to Hiring Committee as requested
Data entry of all search firm, unsolicited and on-campus applicants into the attorney recruiting database;
Update and maintain Hiring Committee materials
Assist the Director of Attorney Recruiting & Development in winter post-clerkship recruiting efforts
Assist with all aspects of law school on-campus interviews (OCI), including OCI registrations, preparing OCI materials for attorneys and students, and preparing callback interview schedules, travel arrangements, and other logistics for candidates.
Summer Program
Coordinate orientation schedules for summer associate onboarding
Assist Director of Attorney Recruiting & Development and Summer Committee with the planning of the summer associate program
Plan and organize various summer associate activities (e.g., luncheons, seminars, social activities)
Assist Director of Attorney Recruiting & Development in preparation, completion and distribution of summer associate letters, questionnaire, conflict check and housing information
Assist in the planning for the summer associate orientation and the assembly of documentation to be distributed to summer associates
Assist in compiling/proof-reading summer associate picture book
Keep summer work allocation system up to date, including compiling mid and final summer feedback packets
Prepare summer associate offer letters
New Attorney Hires
Coordinate orientation schedules for new hire onboarding
Assist in drafting new associate letters, questionnaire, conflict check, bar information, relocation policy, etc
Assist in the implementation of programs and events designed to integrate new and lateral attorneys into the Firm
Other Duties
Assist the Director of Attorney Recruiting & Development in ensuring that all recruiting forms and documents are kept current
Perform various clerical/secretarial duties for the attorney recruiting function as needed
All other duties as assigned or required
Skills & Experience:
Required:
Available to work overtime, as required
2 + years’ experience working within and supporting legal talent/HR department
Knowledge of relevant firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel) with the ability to learn new software and operating systems.
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree
Prior experience in a law firm
