Responsible for managing graphics and trial presentation needs; testing and providing recommendations regarding trial presentation software. Provide first-level problem identification and resolution to users of the firm's technology systems, and assist with other technology projects and tasks. Observe confidentiality of client and firm matters.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Create and provide support for graphics in trial demonstratives, PowerPoint presentations, internal communications, and other purposes, including timelines, flowcharts, org. charts, bar charts, pie charts, document call outs, floor plans, and site plans.
2. Set up, test, and manage equipment and trial presentation software at trials, litigation war rooms, mediations, and arbitrations.
3. Record, convert and edit videos, create video clips, create DVD videos with menus and custom labels, edit audio clips.
4. Set up, manage, and troubleshoot AV equipment e.g.: marketing events, CLEs and other firm-related events, client meetings and deposition preparations.
5. Stay abreast of new developments in litigation and AV software through literature, user groups and seminars.
6. Work with other IT staff as appropriate for technology projects, issue resolution and sharing of knowledge.
7. Assist with other projects and tasks as assigned, both in the local office and firm-wide.
8. Adhere to the firm’s general practices and any unique practices of the IT Department.
Position involves varying work situations with variation from the normal to a high degree of complexity. Employee must perform all duties with minimal supervision.
Overtime may be necessary on occasion to meet user or project needs, as well as travel to other Williams Kastner offices.
1. Strong technical knowledge of: Microsoft Office 365 applications, specifically PowerPoint; SharePoint; Trial Director or Sanction; and other legal-specific applications.
2. Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and applications.
3. In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy and laws.
4. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are crucial, and the ability to prioritize tasks, assess various problems, and estimate time frames for resolution. The selected candidate must be able to find innovative shortcuts or workarounds for new or complex scenarios.
5. Must be an excellent listener and be able to explain technical terms and problems in non-technical terms.
6. Must have a professional demeanor, excellent communication skills and strong customer service skills.
7. Must be able to assist users who are under tight deadlines and answer questions from attorneys and staff in a courteous and friendly manner.
8. Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
9. Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the legal field is desired.
10. Accessible and responsive; timely follow-up of calls and emails.
EDUCATION/TRAINING: Associate or undergraduate degree and/or technology certification or like experience demonstrating required skills.
EXPERIENCE: 3+ years’ experience in a technology support position within the legal industry, with a keen understanding of the litigation/trial process.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment. Work requires physical ability to frequently lift/move/push personal computer equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
